• Pressure Injuries

    •

  • Pressure Injuries are wounds which are sometimes known as pressure sores or pressure ulcers.

When a significant pressure injury has occurred healing can often take many weeks or months and often specialist input is required to aid the healing process. If your GP refers you to our service it is likely you will have a pressure injury to the buttock or heel area. On your first visit we will conduct a full assessment of yourself and the wound and establish some treatment objectives. Pressure injuries also require review of other issues such as seat cushions , mattresses and other issues that may require us to liaise with other healthcare professionals involved in your care.  The wound treatment we recommend and deliver will only be part of the solution; we are committed to playing our part as a member of the multi disciplinary team to achieve the best results for you.
